It doesn't really work, as the game never finds the right way to balance the two modes of play, but this brief flicker of ambition offers just enough ballast to prevent this otherwise tiresomely unremarkable game from sinking completely. Battleship is better than the movie that "inspired" it, but in this case that really isn't saying much. 4 / 10

You've got to feel sorry for Double Helix Games, the developer saddled with the challenge of transforming Battleship's big screen debut into an interesting video game. That sympathy comes partially from the realisation that the studio has done an adequate job of combining the tried-and-tested formula of Hasbro’s family-friendly board game with the movie’s baffling sci-fi plot. But while there are redeeming qualities in the game’s underlying design decisions, its limited budget and lack of variety make it a hard game to recommend. There are some neat ideas bubbling beneath Battleship’s surface, but the overall poor presentation and frustrating lack of ideas mean this tie-in is best left at the bottom of the ocean.

Movie Review - 'Battleship'

Between the Transformers franchise and G.I. Joe, Hasbro's had a pretty decent run at the theaters lately. It hasn't been as impressive as what Marvel's been turning out, but if you ignore "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," the remaining films have at least been enjoyable eye candy. Unfortunately, the company seems to have hit a creative brick wall with "Battleship." In the end, "Battleship" is a film that's destined for late night TV re-runs and parties where a lot of booze is involved. It's not as horrid as "Battlefield Earth," though it would fit right in with the made-for-TV movies on the SyFy channel. We're counting down the days until the team over at RiffTrax decides to give this one a go.

Battleship might very well be the poster child for what we’ve come to expect from your standard movie game. A very solid core is in place that could be found enjoyable by a large group of gamers, but because of a short dev-cycle, the game lacks the polish worthy of a $60 price tag and feels like it belongs more on a system from a generation or two ago with the lack of features it boasts. 
Excellent blending of RTS and FPS game styles 
No multiplayer or plot development Another movie game that suffers from not having a full dev-cycle The core of Battleship is fun and entertaining, and it makes you think that if Double Helix had a full-dev cycle, they could have put together a very memorable experience. As is though, Battleship feels half-finished and rushed out the door without any of the polish we’ve come to expect from a game with a $60 price tag.

Mindless shooting action.Wild Card upgrades make strategy sequences entertaining. A cynical cash-in that charges full price for a short, uninspired game. Why couldn’t we get a really good, strategic Battleship game instead?

Вот блин, повелась на название как обычно, вообще не жалко что купила эту игрушку но остаетсян еприятный осадок что снова обманули. Думаю можно покупать такие игры детям, тем кто играет очень давно, в "Морской бой" по фильму делать нечего. Примитивная и кривая стрелялка-аркада, с кино мало общего, параллельные события не представляют никакого интереса, тактика полная чушь. Но если объективно, Battleship: The Video Game лучше чем iron man и даже чем Hulk, тут хоть больше разнообразных миссий и ситуаций

Звук, ролики и герои просто детские
